Recount Paragraph



As a professional English teacher, the teacher must have plan before teaching to the class room like Lesson Plan. Lesson Plan can help the teacher planning the lesson and designing the materials. The teacher can be easier to teach English with methods and techniques that applied in the class room. When I already to do test in the Microteaching class, I try to teach about Recount Paragraph in Eighth grade at Junior High School. I used Communicative Language Teaching Method and applied Picture Strip Story Technique.  Before the teachers started study, they had to plan such as Pre Activities, Core Activities (Exploration, Elaboration and Confirmation), and Last Activities.
In the Pre Activities, the teacher just said greeting, gave the game, gave the some questions and told what the learning goals at the time. Giving the game can make the students be more spirit and more concentrate to follow the lesson. The students have to know the aims of learning that make them be curiosity of the lesson. In Core activities, there are 3 parts that the teacher have to do. The first is Exploration, the teacher start to explore the material with giving the picture and giving the questions concerning the material. The second is Elaboration, the teacher give the simple example of paragraph recount and giving the question based on paragraph. Then, the teacher and the students discuss it together. After that, the teacher giving task for the students to measure their ability in learning Recount Paragraph. The third is Confirmation, the teacher asks the students to present result of the task. The Last Activities,the teacher and the students concluding the lesson together and closing meeting.
If the teachers have the plan of lesson and design of materials, they can make the students interested in following the learning process. The teacher can be easy to know characteristics of the students and make the students to develop their ability.
